Scherezade Tarar has been working in the education sector for 13 years. She is currently heading the Professional Development and School Improvement Department as well as the Research & Development Cell at Beaconhouse. She has been an educator and teacher trainer both in the USA and Pakistan.
In her current roles, she liaises with internal and external researchers from national and international organisations, institutions, and think tanks to contribute towards data driven decision making and improvement in the education sector. She also spearheads the design and development of programmes and training that support school based professional development and school improvement.
Scherezade holds a Master of Science in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford along with a Master of Science in Teaching & Curriculum from Syracuse University, USA, where she specialised in adult development and educational leadership. She is a Fulbright Scholar as well as the University of Oxford Weidenfeld Hoffmann Leadership Programme alumna.
