Kasim Kasuri

Chief Executive Officer

BES CEO Kasim Kasuri, also the CEO of Beaconhouse, oversees the education of 315,000 students in Southeast Asia, the Gulf, and Europe. He has made commendable contributions to the development of education in Pakistan and played a key role in Beaconhouse’s international expansion, positioning the network as a 21st-century learning leader.

As the founder of TNS Beaconhouse, Kasim introduced project-based learning and IB education to Pakistan and revolutionised the country’s education landscape. He is also the founder and Chair of the annual School of Tomorrow (SOT) Events, which brings together international thought leaders to explore the possibilities of the future of education.

Kasim’s international leadership extends beyond education; he has represented Pakistan at various international summits and served on advisory councils such as the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Global Agenda Council on Pakistan. His achievements have been recognized by the WEF, which nominated him as a ‘Young Global Leader’ from 2009-2014.

Ali Ahmad Khan

Chief Commercial Officer

As the Chief Commercial Officer for BES and Chief Operating Officer of Beaconhouse, Ali brings a wealth of experience in education management and business strategy. With over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing progressive business models, he has a strong track record of delivering operational excellence, driving innovation, and creating value for clients.

Ali plays a key role in developing BES’s consulting services. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by educational institutions, Ali has helped clients improve their operational processes, develop new services, and implement digital transformation initiatives.

Ali’s approach of championing innovative and dynamic strategies in delivering educational excellence positions BES to continue delivering progressive solutions and driving positive change within the education sector.

Dr Lawrence Burke

Chief Education Advisor

Dr Lawrence Burke, BES and Beaconhouse Group’s Chief Education Advisor, has held prominent leadership positions in education across several countries, including Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Argentina, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, and Fiji. He has also lectured on educational leadership in a joint Master’s program with Deakin University and the Higher Colleges of Technology and taught undergraduate courses in Early Childhood Education.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field, Dr. Lawrence was awarded the 2016 Educational Leadership Award by CMO Asia, and was named Teacher of the Year in 2012 by the Higher Colleges of Technology in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Lawrence is a published author, with works including a book on education in Pakistan, a co-authored book on the use of ed-tech in schools, colleges, and universities, and a recent publication on the challenges facing progressive, critical enquiry-based education in the 21st century.

Stephen Crowley

Chief Evaluation & Quality Assurance Advisor

Stephen Crowley’s success as an innovative school leader in England was recognized in 1995 by the Office for Standards in Education, which invited him to train as a Registered Inspector of Schools. By 1999, he had led inspections at more than 50 schools across England.

In 2000, Stephen was appointed Senior Inspector of Schools in the Cayman Islands, where he organized various educational workshops at London and Harvard Universities and education conferences in Mexico and Brazil.

After serving as principal of a prestigious all-age, co-educational private school in Mumbai, India in 2005, Stephen moved to the UAE to lead a team of 70-80 education advisors on an ambitious Public Private Partnership Education Reform Project with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge.

Fareeha Ahmed

Chief Curriculum Development Advisor

Chief Curriculum Development Advisor at BES, Fareeha Ahmed also holds the position of Director of Education Development for the Beaconhouse Group, bringing over 30 years of experience in education to her role. She earned an MEd in Leadership and Management in Education from the University of Bradford, UK.

Fareeha has been a key leader in various projects, including curriculum review and design for K-12 education, talent development through professional development, and school evaluation benchmarking. She is responsible for providing strategic direction and vision for the instructional framework and pedagogical approach to the academic programs. She monitors the progress of school performance, student achievement objectives, and academic excellence indicators to ensure alignment with strategies for school improvement.

One of Fareeha’s significant accomplishments has been the design and implementation of a School-Based Professional Development Model for schools, which is a commitment to sustainable, high-quality self-improving education systems. Her leadership and vision have been instrumental in driving Beaconhouse’s ongoing efforts to improve educational outcomes and establish itself as a leader in the field of education.

Dr Sara Zubair

Chief Communications Advisor

Chief Communications Officer for BES, Sara Zubair is a highly accomplished education professional, currently serving as the General Manager for Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility for the Beaconhouse Group. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the graduate program at the School of Education, Lahore University of Management Studies.

Sara holds an Master’s in Education from the prestigious Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her extensive academic background, combined with her experience working in a wide variety of professional settings including corporate, higher education, nonprofit and government sectors, has uniquely positioned her to be a thought leader in the field of education.

Sara has made significant contributions to the field of education throughout her career, most recently as an educational consultant for the National Academy of Higher Education at the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, where she provided valuable insights and recommendations to help shape the future of higher education in Pakistan through the development of faculty development initiatives.
